Kalzip for roofs
Kalzip aluminium profiled sheets are suitable both for ventilated and non-ventilated roofs of any shape or inclination >1° and with any type of substructure or framework.
Kalzip natural curving can be achieved on-site; alternatively for tighter concave or convex radii, pre-curved sheets can be supplied or a combination of both.
Kalzip’s speed of construction offers an ideal solution for both new-build and refurbishment, providing a lightweight alternative for over roofing or refurbishment of existing roofs.
The supporting structure depends on the individual application. It has to consider the occurring loads caused by snow, wind, and rain whilst factoring for temperature differential and movement.
The system comprises of the outer roof sheet, variable depth thermally broken patented clips to meet the required U-value, insulation, a vapour control layer to reduce the risk of condensation and an internal liner tray or structural deck.
The new Kalzip liner roof system, which consists of a Kalzip standing seam outer sheet, Kalzip insulation, Kalzip vapour control layer and Kalzip liner sheet, is the ideal choice for projects where speed of installation is vital.
The system can be modified to accommodate any acoustic performance requirements by incorporating other layers such as high density insulation, boards and flexible membranes to reduce sound and by perforating the liner to provide increased sound absorption performance.
There are six variations in the system – four Kalzip 65 profiles and two Kalzip 50 profiles, including the recently introduced 65/500 profile and the 50/429
